Our Latest Works of Art
We spent
the Winter of 2004-2005 constructing two beautiful twin log cabins that we named The
Grizzly Bear and The Grey Wolf.
These shelters, designed by our neighbors at
Lumberjack Logs Homes, provide fireplaces, oversized continuous hot
water supplied showers, Queen
size bunk beds, kitchenettes with dining areas, large covered
porches (with rocking chairs), vaulted ceilings and spectacular mountain views.
Local suppliers
, and talented
business neighbors , along
with our own 80+ year
old expert, Peter Chura, helped us produce these structures that were truly "Made in Montana".
The Grizzly Bear and The Grey Wolf Cabins
Honeymooners have enjoyed "no worries" about being bothered by others, as these
private units share no
walls, ceilings or floors. Your own parking space (next to your porch),
enhances your feeling
of privacy. A high quality Queen size bunk-bed provides a "mini-loft"
experience for those willing
to make the climb. The fireplace will keep you warm while your view of the
Spanish Peaks and
Bridger mountain ranges provide proof that a Montana mountain adventure is only
minutes away...

The Yellowstone Cabin
We spent the Winter of 2003-2004 constructing The
Yellowstone Cabin. The Yellowstone is our only cabin
that was not constructed of log. It is a "stick-frame" building that was
primarily built by our friend and
master builder Glen Vandyke.
This
wonderful cabin has hardwood floors inside, and a 400 square foot covered porch
outside. It has an
amazing view of the Spanish Peaks and surrounding countryside. The extra large
porch and relative
isolation (no connecting walls, ceiling or floors), as well as its central
location, has made the Yellowstone Cabin a
favorite of the larger groups associated with wedding parties and family
reunions.
The
Yellowstone Cabin has a nice clean kitchenette that is equipped with coffee
maker, refrigerator,
conventional oven, microwave oven, toaster and two-compartment sink. The
kitchen table and chairs provide
a comfortable location for spreading out the morning newspaper or your trip maps
.
A cozy
yet sturdy Queen size bunk-bed brings out the kid in you. During the day,
an additional twin size trundle
bed fits neatly beneath the lower bunk.

The Bunkhouse Cabins
Our
dream of operating a comfortable clean Western style lodging business began with
the construction of the
Bunkhouse Cabins in 1995. These cozy log duplex units were designed and
built by Jackson Hole Log
Homes. These cabins often rent as a "suite" where each half of the
building
shares a common covered
porch. This suite arrangement is particularly convenient for families that
desire a little extra privacy
Bunkhouse Cabin #1 has been
a guest favorite for almost a decade. This simple log cabin has a queen
size bed,
kitchenette, bath, and a spectacular view of the Spanish Peaks mountain range.
Bunkhouse Cabin #2 shares 1
wall (and a porch) with Bunkhouse Cabin #1. The only major difference between
#1 and #2 is that Bunkhouse Cabin #2 has a queen bed and a twin size bunk bed.

Bunkhouse Cabin #3 is very
similar to #1 with a queen size bed, kitchenette and bath. However this
cabin has a
beautiful view of Hawk Hill and the Bridger mountain range.
Bunkhouse Cabin #4 is very
similar to #2. It shares 1
wall (and a porch) with Bunkhouse Cabin #3, and
has a queen size bed as well as a twin
size bunk bed, kitchenette and bath.
